In "C4012B", C means Charger, B means Balancer, 40 means 40A maximum 40A charge current, 12 means up to 12 cells in series.

The C4012B is not simply a Charger, Discharger, Balancer, SMPS (PSU, Power supply) unit, but also a Balance charger that offers eight modes of operation. These modes include Charge mode, where the user must select the battery type, set the cell count, charge current, end current, end voltage per cell, and other parameters. The battery discharge wire must be connected to the unit for this mode.

One of the key advantages of the C4012B charger is its ability to charge various types of batteries, including LiPo, LiHV, LiTo, LiFe, NMC, Pb, VRLA, NiMh, and NiCd batteries. The Chargery C4012B charger is equipped with advanced Synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter technology, resulting in a high-power, high-current, and high-performance power conversion circuit.

With a maximum charge power o up to 40A and 1500W at AC input, and 20A and 500W at DC input, the unit can effectively handle high-power charging requirements. The maximum charge/discharge current is up to 40A, making it a powerful charging solution and test battery capacity.

The charger's TFT LCD screen provides a wealth of information, including current, voltage, power, capacity, time, working status, temperature, and more. It also supports firmware program upgrades via the USB port.

With worldwide operation AC 90-265V, the charger eliminates the need for any alternative switcher, ensuring safe and reliable operation worldwide. The charger's power consumption is less than 1W when not conducting any program in AC input mode.

The charger's conversion efficiency is up to 94% in AC input mode and 96% in DC input mode. It also features two intelligent cooling fans that turn on automatically based on the temperature and employs ZVS/ZCS and Synchronous Rectification for maximum efficiency.

Q8. How to deal with the faulty?

A: Firstly, Our products are produced in strict quality control system and the defective rate will be less than 0.2%.

Secondly, during the guarantee period, we will send new lights with new order for small quantity. For defective batch products, we will repair them and resend them to you or we can discuss the solution including re-call according to real situation.

Q9. Why the voltage and current reading on LCD is not accurate?

A: voltage and current are calibrated before ship, otherwise the charger don't work, so please check the output wire connection, when distance between the SMPS and your device is a problem, please lengthen AC cable NOT lengthen DC cable (output cable). the 1 meter (10AWG) output cable length is suggested, over 1 meter, will affect voltage and current accuracy especially at 40A 1500W.

Q10. Why don't charge my battery?

A: if battery voltage reading on LCD under setting, or the battery is over discharged, or sum of cell voltage don't be equal to battery voltage on charge port such as battery connection loosing, the charger don't charge. so check battery connection and cell balance wire connection, first confirm voltage reading on LCD is near real battery voltage, if not the charger don't charge

A: No

Q12. How to prevent any cell over charged during charging?

A1: connect balance connector to the charger, and choose balance charge mode. the charger will monitor and balance each cell voltage during charging.

Q13. Can the charger work alone without BMS?

A: yes, the charger can charge alone, balance alone, discharge alone, balance charge alone, when charge alone, don't need connect battery balance connector to the charger, but the cell maybe over charged.

Q14. Can the charger monitor each cell voltage?

A: Yes, monitor and balance each cell voltage during charging, discharging or battery is not in use.

Q15. Can the charger work as SMPS?

A: Yes, in menul choose "power supply", the unit can work as SMPS. the output voltage and current can be set. on power supply mode, don't connec any battery to the charger.

However, when charging a battery, the unit should only function as a charger and not as an SMPS.

Q16. On power supply (SMPS) mode, why the charger cannot be connected to battery and charge the battery?

A: it can work, but not safe.
